
There have not been any conclusive studies to show that caffeine causes acne. However, caffeine can increase your body’s stress response. According to Healthline, “Stress doesn’t cause acne, but stress can make existing acne worse. Stress hormones, such as cortisol, may increase the amount of oil produced by your sebaceous glands.”

The following do not cause acne, but may make it worse.
– Diet. Some studies show that eating certain foods may make acne worse. Researchers are continuing to study the role of diet as a cause of acne.
– Stress.
Can coffee cause acne?
When we think of caffeine, we usually think of coffee, too. So if there isn’t definitive evidence that caffeine can cause acne, what about coffee? It doesn’t look like black coffee can be attributed to causing acne. However, studies have found a correlation between acne and milk or sugar consumption.
